The Refugee Garden Art Program brings together UN refugees, asylum seekers, volunteers, to share space, culture, and healing! We are joined by a variety of community organizations, monthly resident art mediators/ practitioners, and garden educators. We start the morning gardening (watering, harvesting, planting, wedding and building community). Next we have resident art practitioners that lead an art project, healing music therapy or other group activity, focused on self expression, community building, and language practice!
Mind Body Art (MBA) Activities led by UA Professor, Aurelia Mouzet. MBA are creative workshops that combine movement, body and emotion expression, improv theatre, and meditation, allowing participants to experience a collective multisensory experience where creativity meets well-being. Here is where the smiles emerge.
