Tucson Zero Waste Collection Event
Zero Waste Tucson is a community-driven movement that aims to promote sustainable consumption and production practices. Its goal is to raise awareness about the benefits of zero-waste initiatives in creating a cleaner Tucson. By adopting effective waste management practices, Tucsonans can reduce waste generation and help reduce pollution levels, mitigate the impact of the climate crisis.
Iskashitaa Refugee Network will be on hand to collect 4 & 8 oz Ball, Kerr or Mason Canning jars, garden tools, Childrens books, Foreign Language books.
Iskashitaa Plant Sale
Join us on April 13th for the Iskashitaa Plant Sale ! Us and a variety of vendors will be selling houseplants, cacti and landscaping plants, along with a rummage sale. There is surely something for everyone to enjoy.

Tucson Organic Gardener Spring Fair
Save the Date for the TOG Spring Garden Fair on March 16th, 2024! Plants, starts, seeds, soil, fertilizer, crafts, pots, garden art, music, critters, and SO MUCH information about gardening organically in our desert.

Peace Fair
The Tucson Peace Fair and Music Festival takes place at the Armory Park on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 11am to 4pm. It is the largest festival for peace, social justice and environmental groups in Arizona. Come shop Iskashitaa products, listen to live music and meet the many social and environmental justice groups in Arizona.
St. Mark's Campus and Iskashitaa Garden Cleanup
All hands on deck for the Church Work Day, Saturday Nov. 18 at 9:00AM-3:00PM! All are invited to lend helping hands as we beautify the church campus. Bring work gloves if you have them, and water. Iskashitaa folks will be there from 8-12 in the garden. Come to 3809 E. 3rd St and park in either the north or south parking lot.
HOLA: A Tucson Block Party at the Tucson Children's Museum
Celebrate the diversity of our local community!
Little Amal, a 12-foot puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee girl, will visit the Museum during this event as part of Amal Walks Across America.
Iskashitaa will have a table with an art project and activities.

Global Flavors of Fall Festival
Join us on October 1st for the Global Flavors of Fall Festival in collaboration with the Gastronomic Union of Tucson. Here, refugee home cooks and GUT chefs come together to create special multicultural tastings unique to each refugee. In addition to all you can eat tastings we will have live music and some very fun activities that you won't want to miss!

We will have many vendors once again offering vegetable starts, seeds, succulents, trees, planting amendments, garden tools, crafts and more!
Citrus Celebration with Mission Garden
Join Iskashitaa Refugee Network and Mission Garden to celebrate the abundant citrus harvest- sweet oranges, sour oranges, sweet limes, sour limes, lemons, kumquats, pomelos, and grapefruit! Especially featured will be the underappreciated sour Seville oranges, the source of the world's marmalade and useful in many other ways too!
SAVOR: Southern Arizona Food and Wine Fest
SAVOR will feature over 50 of the region’s finest chefs, wineries, breweries, local foods, and restaurants highlighting exceptional menu tastings. The event will also present fine wine, spirits, and craft beer tastings. 21 and UP ONLY EVENT
VIP tickets is $150.00 each from 11am-3pm
VIP Tickets are capped at 200 people and are provided early admission with one-hour early access to the event and a welcome cocktail.
General Admission is $100.00 each from 12pm-3pm
29th Street Thrive: Tree and Garden Fair
People want to learn how to bring more trees, plants, and gardens into the 29th Street area! City of Tucson, Community Food Bank, Tucson Clean and Beautiful, Tucson Electric Power, Iskashitaa Refugee Network, and more are joining forces to bring the 29th Thrive Community an opportunity to learn how bring more green to our community. Residents can learn how to apply to get a tree, learn how to get free seeds, make a portable planter, and find out about worm bins, gleaning, and gardening supplies!

Rozet Nursery Anniversary Party
In celebration of their 1-year anniversary, Rozet Nursery is hosting a fundraiser for Iskashitaa and our friends Owl and Panther! Admission for adults is $15. Music by Refugee Beats and Fady Eskandar! Food from the Persian Table! Featuring a plant raffle, belly dancers, mocktails, and a silent auction!

LESLLA International Symposium
Iskashitaa Refugee Network has been invited to the 18TH Annual Literacy Education & Second Language Learning for Adults (LESLLA) International Symposium October 21 & 22. We will have a table during the attendee's morning registration and lunch periods. Join us in engaging the attendees, explaining how our refugee community benefit from their teaching, handing out literature and selling our IskaShop products.
City Of Tucson Tree Fest
Join us at the Tree Fest 2022 hosted by City of Tucson & Tucson Clean and Beautiful. At this event we will be engaging with the public about our connections to the edible desert plants and trees, handing our literature and selling our Iskashop products. We we be having an activity for children to enjoy.

Tucson Organic Gardeners Fall Plant Fair
It's the Tucson Organic Gardeners Fall Plant Fair! Join Iskashitaa Refugee Network at our table handing out literature and selling our local harvested products, small, batched jams, jellies, marmalades, dried chives and much more. We will be among other organic gardening vendors, enthusiasts, experts, and novices to shop for plants, garden supplies, tasty treats, and more!
