Seed Saving and Distribution

Mission Garden offers free weekly Seed Saving workshops. Participants learn and practice seed-saving while also learning about local crops and native plants. Mission Garden will collaborate with Iskashitaa Refugee Network to expand this offering to include refugees by providing transportation and incentives for participants who will be encouraged to share their own seed-saving knowledge. 

Mission Garden donates its surplus seed to volunteers, visitors, and school and community gardens. Mission Garden will improve its seed-saving materials, and increase and diversify the number of beneficiaries of its seed donations.
