Refugee Garden Arts Program

  • Iskashitaa Refugee Network 3736 East 2nd Street Tucson, AZ, 85716 United States (map)

The Refugee Garden Art Program brings together UN refugees, asylum seekers, volunteers, to share space, culture, and healing! We are joined by a variety of community organizations, monthly resident art mediators/ practitioners, and garden educators. We start the morning gardening (watering, harvesting, planting, wedding and building community). Next we have resident art practitioners that lead an art project, healing music therapy or other group activity, focused on self expression, community building, and language practice!

Refugee led and refugee focused sessions to give voice to the refugees that want to share their culture through an activity, art project, cooking demonstration but open to a variety of artists and activities.
